The association between what you’re calling masculine energy and a “mask” is fascinating to me in its implications of the meaning of it. Is the essence of this energy an armor of action?
That's a beautiful way to put it "The Armor of Action" it really is. I often times imagine, If Peter Pan were real, he'd be the voice of my masculine energy...come to inspire, and armor Wendy into action. He is the fairy and he lives in Wendy. Perhaps she got lost in her mind one day, as she drifted toward womanhood. Wendy in life, would be a wall flower, afraid, and so Peter came to her, from her heart to give her that rush of bravery! And he was gone again, when she found her voice. Able to leave the wall.
I know that's not the origin of the story, but it is a helpful metaphor.
